Imagining Ali Wallace is an evocative multimedia piece that combines video art installation and a captivating live performance that explores a different dimension of the works and journeys of celebrated 19th century British naturalist and biogeographer, Alfred Russel Wallace and his assistant, Ali, from Sarawak. 

 

This piece highlights the significance of indigenous wisdom and values, fostering effective and equitable outcomes in global development. It creates a sense of belonging and respect within communities, honouring their unique perspectives. Through its captivating storytelling, the piece provokes reflection on the intricate connections between individuals, communicates and the natural world, emphasizing the value of collaboration and cultural preservation.
